With the rise in identity theft and fraudulent use of financial information, NextTrip has made sure that your privacy and the information collected from you is guarded and secured with the most secure technologies. The Privacy Policy covers treatment of personally identifiable information collected on the NextTrip website.

We Collect Information in the Following Ways

We collect personally identifiable information in order to process reservations and provide you with the best customer experience to meet your travel needs. We ask for your name, email address, street address, zip code, and, when processing a reservation, your credit card number.

Device Information

We collect device-specific information, such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information including phone number. We may associate your device identifiers or phone number with your NextTrip account.

Log Information

When you use our services or view content provided by NextTrip, we automatically collect and store certain information in server logs.

Your Internet protocol (IP) Address, details of how you used our service, such as your search queries, pages you requested, along with requests for specific price quotes for lodging and travel.
Telephony log information like your phone number, calling-party number, forwarding numbers, time and date of calls, duration of calls, SMS routing information and types of calls.
Device event information such as application activity, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL.

When you use NextTrip services, we may collect and process information about your actual location. We use various technologies to determine location, including IP address, GPS, and other sensors that may, for example, provide NextTrip with information on nearby devices, Wi-Fi access points and cell towers. Certain services include a unique application number. This number and information about your installation (for example, the operating system type and application version number) may be sent to NextTrip when you install or uninstall that service or when that service periodically contacts our servers, such as for automatic updates.

We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as a browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.

We and our partners user various technologies to collect and store information when you visit a NextTrip site, and this may include cookies or similar technologies to identify your browser or device. Some features of the NextTrip site rely on cookies to function correctly.

We also use these technologies to collect and store information when you interact with services we offer to our partners, such as advertising services or NextTrip features that may appear on other sites or social media platforms.

NextTrip uses information for these general purposes: to fulfill your requests for reservations or information and to contact you about specials and new products, as well as to determine what offerings are of most interest to our users. Collected information is also used to provide, maintain, protect and improve our services, as well as, develop new services and protect NextTrip and our users. We also use this information to offer you tailored content such as more relevant search results and ads.

Any reviews you post on a NextTrip site or social media presence are publicly visible and may be cited, redistributed or indexed by third-party sites or applications, including search engines such as Google.

Your Right to Request

People have different privacy concerns. Our goal is to be clear about what information we collect, so that you can make meaningful choices about how it is used.

You have the right to request information about how your personal data is stored, a copy of your personal data, an immediate correction to your personal data, and that your personal data is erased if there is no longer a legal or business process requirement for retaining that information. We will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. We need to send the information to companies who work as partners with NextTrip to provide a product or service to you. This information is limited to only necessary information for reservations made online or through one of our agents. When necessary to provide the services offered by our partners, credit card numbers are transmitted electronically using strong encryption algorithms from NextTrip’s systems to our partners’. Access by NextTrip personnel to credit card information is tightly restricted and only permitted under exceptional circumstances to ensure the delivery of the products and services approved by you. All access to credit card information by restricted personnel is logged to ensure the security of your credit card information.

Some of the advertisements and other services that appear on our web site(s) are delivered to you by Internet advertising companies. These companies utilize certain technologies including cookies to deliver advertisements and marketing messages and to collect anonymous information about your visit to our sites and other web sites. NextTrip utilizes Display Advertising features that may include and are not limited to: Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration, or Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. We may share non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners – like publishers, advertisers or connected sites. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our services.

If NextTrip is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

How to Opt-Out of E-mail

You may choose to unsubscribe and not receive future marketing and promotional emails from NextTrip by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of every email we send.

Our Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by NextTrip and its affiliates.

Our Privacy Policy does not apply to services offered by other companies or individual, including products or sites that may be displayed to you in search results, sites that may include NextTrip services, or other sites linked from our services. Compliance and Cooperation with Regulatory Authorities

We regularly review our compliance with our Privacy Policy. NextTrip collects, uses and keeps information in compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) (the Act) and all relevant regulations. For the purpose of the Act, the data controller is NextTrip. When we receive formal written complaints, we will contact the person who made the complaint to follow up.
